Our Story
How Lu & DJ Met
We met in Bali in 2021 at a Halloween party. The photo beside this was taken moments before our very first interaction.
Like many great love stories, ours began with a little confusion, a crowded party, and a Halloween celebration.
At some point during the night, DJ accidentally kept bumping into one of Lu's friends. Lu, assuming DJ was Indonesian, started speaking to him in Bahasa Indonesia and firmly told him to stop.
There was just one small problem — DJ had absolutely no idea she was talking to him. In fact, he couldn't even see where the voice was coming from. So for a brief moment, Lu was passionately talking to what appeared to be absolutely no one.
Later, DJ made another loop around the party and finally spotted Lu. Thinking he was simply introducing himself to someone new, he struck up a conversation. The rest, as they say, is history.
Our first legitimate date was at the beach in Uluwatu, where we spent an entire day playing with dogs, sunbathing, and swimming in the ocean. What started as a simple day together became the beginning of our journey.
